Introduction

Bouncer is a comprehensive Age Verification and KYC (Know Your Customer) Platform that provides secure age verification for your business.

What is Bouncer?

Bouncer enables businesses to verify the age of their users through:

Liveness Detection: Facial liveness verification
Age Estimation: Age estimation from the face scan
KYC Verification: Age verification with ID document scanning: the document photo must match the face, and the age is checked against the document (see KYC)
Multi-tenant Architecture: Organization-based access with customizable branding

The result tells you whether the person meets your age target. It does not tell you who they are: no name, date of birth, document number or image is returned.

Verification Methods

Method	Description
Age Estimation	Quick verification using facial analysis
KYC (ID Scan)	Identity document scan in the same flow, asked for when the age estimate does not clear the target. The document photo must match the face, and the age is checked against the document
Forced KYC	Always require ID verification regardless of age estimation: send `force_kyc: true`, together with `force_verification: true` so that an earlier pass in the same browser cannot approve the session without a document. See KYC

Integration Options

API Integration: RESTful API v2 for server-to-server integration
Device-based: QR code flows for kiosks, vending machines, and physical locations
Webhooks: Notifications to your webhook_url for verification events. Treat every webhook as possibly the only delivery for that event, and confirm the result by polling GET /api/v2/session/{id}
